The label

Birdwalk took flight with its Spring Summer 16 collection.   Our goal was simple to create timeless, understated and wearable pieces imbued with elegance and feminine charm.

Our name captures our philosophy – let your imagination soar with your feet to the ground.  Let the fanciful meet the practical.  Drawing inspiration from the free-spirited zeitgeists of the 1920s to 1960s, we craft modern and wearable dresses that embody the earnest feminine beauty and fairytale charm of those eras.   And though our design sensibility leans towards understated, it is in craftsmanship where we try to give our pieces their unique expressive qualities by emphasizing innovative fabric manipulation, hand-embroidery and hand-painted elements to give each collection a harmonious mood, texture and look.  Each piece is crafted with utmost attention to construction and finishing to ensure it exudes sheer quality.   All of this can only be achieved by keeping pieces limited in quantity, which also encourages our customer to value and own their pieces for lifetime.

Sustainability is important at Birdwalk and as of now about 90% of the materials used in our pieces are from purely natural fibres.   We strive to infuse more sustainable practices with each new collection.

 AMRAPALI SINGH – Designer
